I've had a different version of this Walk Away the Pounds workout DVD for some time. I used to do it more often (when I was trying to lose weight long ago), but I got burnt out from doing the same workout all the time.
This time of year the darkness and cold keep me indoors when I get home from work. And now that I have to get 4 workouts in these few weeks, I had to turn to the old standards.
I actually forgot what a good workout this can be. It's not the same as doing 30 minutes on the elliptical at the gym, but I also don't have to pay a fee every month to use it.
If you aren't familiar with Leslie Sansone or her Walk Away the Pounds videos, click on the product picture for a full description on Amazon. There are several different versions and time limits, but this is the one I was doing tonight. For example, the version I have featured contains a 1 mile (15 min) and a 2 mile (30 min) walk workout that included arm exercises with a stretchie band. It's quite a simple concept. From the comfort of your own home, you can go on a walk... but get your heart rate going faster, use more muscles, and get some arm exercises in as well. It's more than just walking in place, and you will sweat!
