When I start making bad food choices, I tend to quit writing down what I eat. Like maybe some how some way, if I don't write it down it's not true or the bad food can't harm me. I think minds do that to you... maybe in a way to protect you from you. Crazy huh?

So for the past few days, I've done my best to write down what I eat good or bad. Hopefully seeing it in print online will help me start eating better.

B: 2 scrambled eggs (1 w, 1 w), oatmeal
S: cottage cheese double (pineapple), granola bar
L: Zaxby's (3 chicken strips, fries, sprite w/3 refills)
D: Stevie B's (all you can eat pizza buffet), sprite

I at so much at Stevie B's, I couldn't sleep that night. Not sure if it was only from a very full stomach or because of all the carbs. I'm thinking the carbs did it.

Not doing good!

I've been doing awful lately. I haven't been writing down what I eat in my notebook much less actually writing much on here. Saturdays are the start of my week, so I want to make today the day I make better choices.

On March 7, I weighed in at 216 which was 1 pound lower than the week before (I just realized that this minute).

On March 14, I weighed in at 219 which is 3 pounds higher.

Week 9 & Monthly (Feb) Update

Ugh... I gained 2 lbs this week. Probably could have been worse though...

My last post said I was doing good, but starting a few days after that I started on a downward spiral with regards to my weight loss. Actually it probably started before that, but since I was still losing weight I did not make it into a big issue.

Weeks 3-5 I made both my goals (1. eating out only once per week & 2. working out). Weeks 6-7 I made my workout goal but did not make my eating out goal. Since I was upset at myself for the extra meal eaten out each of those weeks, I punished myself and did not reward myself even for the exercising. I'm not sure if I should do that. What do you think? Since the goals were separate, and I originally planned to reward myself if I made only one of the weekly goals, is it fair for me to punish myself? Is that what lead to my going crazy with the food now? Probably not, but who knows.

Weeks 8-9 I have been eating out like it's going out of style, and I have not been exercising. Do you want to hear my excuses for that... well here it goes anyway.

Week 8 I was stressed because we had some company stay about 4 days. I'm a person of routine and when someone messes it up, I get irritated and can't function like I normally would. That Tuesday (2-19) was a beautiful day, and I did go walking right after I left work. Wednesday night was when the company came and with them they brought rain and cold weather.

And I've been eating all the bad stuff I've been missing. Physically all the food makes me feel horrible. Even if I wanted to work out, I don't think I would last long because I just have so much food in me, I feel like I'd throw up if I had to do anything physical.

Today I once again treated myself to mexican (my favorite) and I have some ice cream, but tomorrow I vow to myself to get back on track. I finally found my WW points calculator and I'm going to strictly watch my points. Week 9 started my exercise goal of working out 5x per week so I hope the weather gets better, so I can start walking the track right after work.

I can do this!
I will do this!
I must do this!

Well it could have been worse I suppose. I was doing good all day until I decided I would go by WM to get stuff to make lasagna. That wasn't a problem in itself but my body was used to eating dinner when I got home from work and by waiting longer (cuz I had to prepare and bake the lasagna) I ate while waiting. I ate a banana on the way home from the store then after I put the lasagna in the oven I ate a bowl of cottage cheese mixed with leftover meat sauce, some mozarella cheese, and a few small pieces of the noodles.

Esentially that was a meal by itself and I should have stopped there, but no I ate a small portion of the lasagna and a few bites of a salad when it was hot from the oven. I'm feeling so yucky right now.

B: oatmeal, orange
L: turkey sandwich, 100 cal cheese puffs, peach cup
D: lasagna, salad, cottage cheese (w/meat sauce, cheese, noodles mixed w/ it)
S: raisins, carrots, banana

I'm going to do this, but today wasn't the day.

Probably wouldn't have been so bad if I wasn't upset and angry with so many people. Why does it seem like everyone makes you mad at the same time. To be quite honest this isn't a good time for and I'm taking it out on food. For those of you who don't know my Mom passed away on Jan 6, 2007. So this is the one year anniversary... is that even the word used? I'm certainly not celebrating the fact, but it just brings back all the memories and feelings for that time. And it hurts so bad to know I can't just pick up the phone and call her. I really should stop this... I'm gonna start crying all over again.

It shouldn't be an excuse for my bad behavior, but I guess that's just the way I'm dealing with things at the moment.

Also looks like I won't make my 3x per week exercise goal. But I'm not out of the game (even though it just started). I just need to get passed this weekend or figure out another way to deal with my frustrations.

Breakfast: frosted mini wheat cereal
Snacks: 2 frozen waffles, milk, Sprite, doritos
Supper: (cheddar's) chicken fried steak, mashed potatos, green beans, chips w/salsa & queso

Feeling sick right now.

I'm starting this year off horribly. Yesterday I felt compelled to use a giftcard to eat out at an italian restaurant. Can you imagine the amount of calories in all that food? Well today I do exactly the same thing. We were given these giftcards from work, but yesterday I couldn't find anyone to go with, so I just got some to-go food. Well tonight we were gonna have a bunch of people get together and meet at the same restaurant. Ends up just being me and a friend of a friend, but we eat anyway.

So not only did I do bad by eating all this food... I drank one glass of sprite and all of it is making me feel very yucky! Why do I do this to myself?

All I can say is that tomorrow is another day and I still have time to make my exercise goal at the very least.

Breakfast: oatmeal, 2 scrambled eggs (1 whole, 1 white)
Snacks: orange, banana, granola bar, 1 cookie, 2 mini resse cups
Lunch: turkey sandwich, 100 cal cheese nips, applesauce, peach cup
Supper: lasagna, salad w/italian, bread dipped in olive oil, sprite

Well I started the day off good and ended so bad.

Breakfast: oatmeal, 2 scrambled eggs (1 white, 1 whole)

Lunch: turkey sandwich, 100 cal cheese nips, peach cup

Snacks: banana, granola bar

So far so good right?

Supper: Johnny Carinos (lasagna, salad w/italian dressing, bread dipped in olive oil)

Isn't olive oil good for you... doesn't that count for something? Ugh! I had this giftcard for the restaurant burning a whole in my pocket. But I know i can do it. At least I didn't have any Sprite... small steps equal great distances.
